Company Returns Policy

The suggested retail price of the full Smart Way Reading kit is $449.95.  Bright Sky Learning has elected to sell new full kits, as well as new individual sections, direct to the public at below Open Box prices, and free shipping.

Due to the tremendous savings involved, as well as shipping and processing costs, there is a very strict policy regarding returns.

A full kit is three (3) sections, each of which are boxed and taped at the printer.  The boxes are all enclosed within a larger box for shipping.  Returns will not be accepted if any of the three (3) section boxes have been opened.  Customers are fully responsible for return shipping costs.

Individual sections (1, 2 and 3) are as well sold at below Open Box prices and returns are not accepted on these items, unless the shipment is refused at the time of delivery and returned unopened.

For these reasons you are strongly encouraged to review the below procedures, as well as the Smart Way Reading Scope & Sequence to ensure that you are ordering exactly what is needed.

To return an unopened full kit:

1.  Contact a Customer Care Specialist at Bright Sky Learning by calling (727) 674-0138 to obtain a Return Authorization number. (Hereinafter referred to as the RA#.)

2.  Secure your item, all of the original packing materials, in a plain cardboard box.  Please Note: Returned materials not accompanied by all of the original documentation will not be honored.  All returned materials must be in new and unopened condition.  If Section boxes have been opened they cannot be returned.

3.  Clearly print your name and address on the outside of the package in the return area and address the package to:

4.  Ship the package with some form of delivery confirmation, as this is the safest way to ship items. For your protection, you may want to insure the package for the full amount of the invoice.  Bright Sky Learning is not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.

5.  Our Quality Assurance Team will evaluate your returned item upon receipt.  You will receive notification via email regarding your return within five (5) business days of receipt and the amount of refund due.

NOTE:  The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent.  Items that have been opened, altered or damaged in any way cannot and will not be accepted for return.  Your request will be processed after our Quality Assurance team inspects and verifies the condition of the return.  Damaged goods due to client negligence will absolutely not be accepted.

6.  We will refund the cost of the return, not including your shipping and handling charges.  A full cost refund will occur only if all Sections are returned unopened.

You can expect a refund within 14 to 21 business days of our receiving your unopened, returned product.  Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact a Customer Care Specialist within two (2) business days of receipt at (727) 674-0138.  Please have all of your original documentation provided with your shipment available and supply the Specialist with your name, e-mail address, phone number and Bright Sky Learning will make every reasonable effort to replace the item in a timely manner.

If there is extensive damage to the package upon delivery, you should refuse the order and contact a Customer Care Specialist immediately at (727) 674-0138.  Please have your order confirmation number available when you contact the Customer Service Specialist.  Once received at our warehouse, Bright Sky Learning will ship a new replacement to you.
